Eagle’s Nest Sink, Florida, USA<\/h4>\n
Eagle’s Nest Sink is a cave in the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area, Weeki Wachee, Florida.<\/p>\n
Underneath a pond is the entrance to an extensive cave system with huge rooms and depths up to 95 m \/ 310 ft. Once you enter through the breakdown in the pool and drop into complete darkness, even a powerful light will not reach any of the walls in the entrance chamber. Until you reach the debris mound at around 37m \/ 127 ft.<\/p>\n
From there you can either go downstream or upstream but in every case you will swim through massive rooms. Over a couple of dives we managed to visit the Lockwood Tunnel, Randy’s Room, Superior Room and jump over a hundred feet further down to the Crevise Cave.<\/p>\n
The sheer size of the rooms and the dimensions of the cave system made for an awesome yet humbling experience.<\/p>\n<\/div>
